ASUS to Introduce New Gunslinger Gaming Devices at Alder Lake-HX
Intel has unveiled new Alder Lake processors for mobile devices with incredible performance. These chips are equipped with unlocked multipliers, and most importantly, the ability to automatically overclock to 5 GHz. Now computer manufacturers are preparing a line of gaming systems - ASUS is going to introduce Gunslinger in Ultra performance.
The network has long been rumored that ASUS is preparing ROG Gunslinger 6 laptops, which will be built on top-end mobile Intel processors, as well as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics cards. But the release of a new generation of processors has changed the plans of ASUS and now 2 versions of the laptop are being prepared for the attention of gamers - regular and Ultra.
It follows from this that the Ultra version will be released on the Alder Lake-HX series of processors - high-performance chips with unlocked overclocking and high clock speeds from the factory. In the top assembly, these gaming laptops can run on a Core i9-12900HX with 16 cores and 24 threads, which can be overclocked not up to 5 GHz, but up to 5.2 GHz - ASUS engineers will be directly responsible for this.
Representatives of the ASUS Gunslinger 6 line will be one of the fastest laptops available on the market. To cope with the heating of powerful processors, the devices will receive a modified cooling system. As a graphics accelerator in the Ultra series models, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 16 GB of video memory will be used. Thus, the total power consumption of the gaming device will exceed 300 watts.
As per first estimates, the ASUS ROG Gunslinger 6 line will start at $2,000.
